Talking about death and dying isn’t easy, but it could be one of the most important conversations you’ll ever have. On the Morning Report, Sharon Rose Vaznis and I shared some helpful tips on how to get started.
We also discussed an upcoming conference and a series of community forums about end-of-life conversations. They’re all sponsored by Hospice of Southern Maine.
Some of the tips I gave on the show came from the Conversation Project, which offers a free, downloadable Starter Kit Guide to having “the conversation.”
Don’t miss a thing!

Such an important topic. Thank you for shining a light on the importance of having end of life conversations.. I am a RN hospice and palliative care educator and see the horrors of patients in the ICU , like a vegetable garden because they did not tell their families or write doen what to avoid at their life’s end. We need to start and continue to talk about and confront death to live life more fully!
